I went to Lowe's this morning to buy paint. When I got to my car, there was a flyer on my windshield:
"VOTE YOUR VALUES ON TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE ONLY"
"THE HOMOSEXUAL GROUPS WANT TO PASS, THE SAME SEX MARRIAGE IN TEXAS"
Below the fold, I'll paste the text of the offensive flyer that found its way to my car in Dallas - the Lowe's in East Dallas, at Northwest Highway and Jupiter.

NOVEMBER 8, 2005
I quickly scanned the parking lot to see who was passing these out. I got in the car, threw it out the window at the man, and told him he could keep that piece of shit.
I then realized that my knee-jerk reaction didn't accomplished anything, and parked the car again, grabbed my child, and went back into the store, flyer in hand.
I asked the clerk to speak with a manager regarding the flyer that I found offensive. Apparently, the manager was too busy to see me (or otherwise didn't want to deal with it), but told the clerk they'd send someone out to take care of it. I didn't stick around, but wouldn't be surprised if that didn't happen.
Next, I'll call the store and ask to speak with the manager again.
Does anyone know if this is legal - to pass these out on store property? Does the store have to consent? The full text of the flyer is posted above - I have no idea what group is doing this.
And the claim that "the homosexual activists plan to bus in hundreds of people from other states amonth early, in order to vote against the traditional marriage amendment" reeks of a disgusting lie to me. Any info on this claim?
UPDATE (also posted in comments) 11:20am, cst: I called and got the store manager on the phone, a guy named Eric. He said that as soon as it was brought to their attention (probably when I marched my happy ass back into the store with the flyer), they went out to the parking lot, asked the man to leave, and attempted to remove as many flyers as possible from the cars. He told me that they did not approve of or condone the action.
I commend them for taking the action. I had my doubts that anyone would actually give a damn.
And I find it very interesting that whoever did this decided to target the home improvement store.
